The Christ Child Society of Pasadena is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization of members dedicated to making a difference in the lives of a-risk children throughout the San Gabriel Valley.
Our volunteers provide essential services such as layettes, clothing, educational resources, grants, and emergency support to help underserved children and families in our community.

Some of the tasks within the organization include planning and organizing events, while other participation could include arranging shopping trips and/or delivery of baby items, food, and diapers. Some members knit or crochet sweater sets or knit, crochet or sew small blankets for the Layettes that we distribute to underprivileged families.
Other tasks help with the necessary paper and computer work it takes to run an efficient volunteer organization. Members can also serve as a liaison to one of the organizations, agencies or to one of the parish schools and/or religious education programs that we help either on an “as needed basis” or on a continuing basis. We have meetings to support the work we do and we have social events for fun. Our meetings and social events begin and end in prayer. Our inspiration and direction has been handed down from our foundress Mary Virginia Merrick. Mary believed: “The spirit of the Christ Child Society is one of personal love for the Christ Child expressing itself in the personal service for the least of “His little ones.” We are a Catholic based organization although we help disadvantaged children of all faiths and we welcome anyone who is interested in serving God’s children in need.
