Some of the tasks within the organization include planning and organizing events while other participation includes assisting in our many service projects.
Members serve on committees helping with various tasks throughout the organization. Some members knit or crochet sweater sets or knit, crochet or sew small blankets for the Layettes that we distribute to underprivileged families. Many members enjoy volunteering for our PALS reading to children program while others offer their help with our Annual Fundraiser, Auction and Luncheon event.

Our meetings and social events begin and end in prayer. Our inspiration and direction has been handed down from our foundress Mary Virginia Merrick. Mary believed: “The spirit of the Christ Child Society is one of personal love for the Christ Child expressing itself in the personal service for the least of “His little ones.” We are a Catholic based organization although we help low-income children of all faiths and we welcome anyone who is interested in serving God’s children in need.
