Memorial Mass, Annual Meeting and Luncheon for Christ Child Society of Pasadena

Our annual Memorial Mass and Luncheon is traditionally held each May at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Pasadena, CA but the venue can change. It is presided over by our St. Andrew’s Spiritual Advisor, currently Rev. Marcos Gonzalez, and is the culmination of our efforts for the year. It’s our biggest event before our summer break. The students of St. Andrew School provide greeters, altar servers and singers to add a wonderful dimension to our event. It is truly a privilege that we have this special Mass dedicated to our members.

The Mass provides the opportunity to remember and honor our members who have passed away during the year. We induct and bless our new Active Members as well as introduce and bless the new Provisional class.

At the conclusion of Mass, the four annual Christ Child Society scholarships are announced and information about the scholarships is shared.

Delicious Luncheon Included

After Mass, we gather for a luncheon which provides the opportunity for our annual business meeting and a program speaker. During the business meeting, we elect and install the new Executive and General Board and provide a business update so that the membership can hear how we, as a group, have helped our community and furthered the mission of Mary Virginia Merrick. The luncheon is a wonderful time for our members to celebrate the successes of the past year and to reconnect with old friends. A formal invitation is mailed out a month in advance which includes all pertinent details and is also announced on the website calendar.
