The Easter Shoes Fund is designed to provide shoes to children facing economic hardships during the Easter Season. Our Christ Child Society of Pasadena members have been and continue to be extremely generous in meeting the needs of less fortunate children in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County in California. Instead of giving actual shoes, a $25 gift card is provided for each child to these families in need. Many of our generous members have donated even more than $25.
The families and children are identified through the Parish Representatives via the Parish School Principals at the parish schools and religious education programs we support. A letter is sent to the entire membership at the beginning of the Lenten Season to ask them to help with the Easter Shoes fund raiser.
The Easter Shoe gift cards are delivered to the parish schools by the Parish Ambassadors approximately two weeks before Easter. The underserved families and children are so very thankful for the gift at Easter.
